Selling with Lily Bids Auction House
Lily Bids Auction House is a really easy way to sell single and multiple items utilising the online bidding platform to maximise your sales.
How to sell
Get in contact with our friendly team to book an appointment. We take in consignments the week after an auction for the following sale. We can discuss the items you would like to auction and book you a slot.
During your appointment the auctioneer will provide you with his expectations and valuations. Your items will be booked into the system and you will be given your receipt.
Your items will be photographed, catalogued and advertised on our website, Bid Spirit and easyliveAuction.com
Once your items have sold on auction day, you will receive a vendor statement and we will pay out 8 working days after the sale.
If an item does not sell, we can discuss with you some alternative options
Vendor commission & fees
We charge a lotting fee of £2.00 per lot plus VAT. This covers research, photography and cataloguing. It also includes our second chance auction if a lot is unsold it will be automatically entered into a 4 day timed auction following the live sale. So there are two opportunities for a lot to be sold. A lot could be a single item or a collection of multiple items lotted together.
If a lot sells, we charge 15% plus VAT on the hammer price. Minimum commission £2.00 per lot. Watch our vendors guide - selling at Lily Bids Auction House for more information.
How to bid
Bidding is so simple and there are a few different ways you can do this.
Room Bidders:
Register during viewing or on sale day, you will be given a paddle number which is your number for all future sales. Then bid live in the room on the lots that take your fancy
Online Bidders:
Register by clicking register in the main menu or go to auctions and select the auction date then click register and fill in your details and register your payment card.
You can place pre bids on the lots you like or watch the sale live and bid through our website, Bid Spirit or easyliveAuction.com
You can also contact us directly to place absentee bids and we will bid for you.
Telephone Bidders:
If your bids exceeds £300, we can bid on your behalf via the telephone. Contact us in advance with the lot numbers and we will arrange a telephone call.
Collecting your items after the sale
You can collect your item from Lily Bids Auction House immediately after a sale or the Monday - Thursday 9-5 following a sale. Please let us know if you are unable to collect as storage fees will apply. If you are arranging a courier to collect your items please let us know and we will have your items ready for courier collection. We are available for local deliveries - ask for details and a quote
